We need to deal with a serious problem that has been happening recently on chat. This last weekend I have come to witness a series of Internet Trolls on the Wikia's chat. Trolls are one who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument. An example was FabianRutter2434 who said he was asking out people on chat and flirting with them. Now this is the House of Anubis Wikia not a site where you meet other girls and ask them out. Plus we have had numerous amounts of users asking these personal repetitive questions to the users.
Some examples were:
- Where are you from?
- How old are you?
- Shouldn't you be in school?
- Can I be your friend?
- What are you doing right now?
- *User just joins chat* Excuse Me I'm new... Why did that person get banned? They seemed nice.
Also there have many users who stalk the chat daily and wait for one of the Admins or someone to get on so they can ask those questions. We are getting more and more popular by the minute, which means more new users, and more trolls.
Most of you who have just joined recently I am telling you now. READ THE CHAT GUIDELINES before you come into chat. That leads me to a new rule.
As of today in order to get into chat you must have done the following things.
- You must have been on this Wikia 2 full days. That means on your 3rd day you can come into chat.
- You must of made 15 good edits on the Wikia. We won’t take you if you are making bad edits.
Once that is done you will comment at the bottom of the chat page saying you have done those two things and sign with your signature. Which means at the bottom of the page Sign your name like doing a signature. Which is ~~~ Once you have done so you are allowed to come into chat. Note if you come to chat and have not done so we will ask you to leave the chat and sign your name. Failure to obey will result in an immediate ban from chat forever. Until you sign your name in the comment section you will stay banned.
Now anyone who joined before this new rule won’t have to do those two things and comment on the page. But once this is posted the rule will go into effect and anyone who joins after it will have to obey the new rule.
